At FlexTech High School students engage in project based learning to investigate real world questions and develop solutions. Through these investigations students integrate knowledge and skills from a variety of disciplines, they consult with community experts, and they present their solutions to authentic audiences.
FlexTech follows the Michigan Merit Curriculum. Each student who attends FlexTech has different goals, as defined by the student, the family, and the advisor. TECHNOLOGYDigital literacy is an important component of a FlexTech education. As a 21st century high school that educates digital natives, FlexTech is committed to embracing technology as a learning tool. We promote the use of diverse technologies to collaborate and connect with experts, create and share new information, and design exciting content like games, websites, and social media. We want our students to use a variety of digital tools responsibly in their school, work, and personal lives. Our students have access to state-of-the-art technology in our Mac computer lab. Students also use Chromebooks to accomplish their learning goals and complete their online courses.
